Museum of African Art Arellano Alonso, Art museum in Valladolid, Spain

The Arellano Alonso African Art Museum displays collections of traditional coins, terracotta sculptures, and artifacts from the Kingdom of Oku in Cameroon.

Founded in 2004 through a donation by the Jimenez-Arellano Alonso Foundation, the museum exhibits objects dating from the 5th century BC to the 20th century.

The museum houses 130 terracotta sculptures representing various African cultures, including Nok, Ife, and the Benin Kingdom, illustrating their artistic traditions.

Located in the Palace of Santa Cruz, the museum opens Tuesday through Saturday from 16:30 to 19:30 and Sundays from 11:00 to 14:00.

The museum contains a library of 8,000 volumes dedicated to African art and maintains three specialized exhibition rooms in a historic university building.
