Wok Tum Canal View Point

Wok Tum Canal View Point is a scenic overlook on Ko Pha-ngan island with views of a wide sandy beach, mangrove areas, and coral reefs extending some 300 meters offshore. The observation platform provides clear sightlines across the coastal waters and the shoreline's natural features.

The viewpoint originates from a historical fishing community that established it to monitor weather patterns and navigate boats safely through the waterway. Its position served a critical role in helping local fishermen manage maritime conditions and tidal movements.

The viewpoint is most accessible from November through April when conditions are most favorable, and features direct road access from the main town of Thongsala. Visitors should prepare for potentially slippery surfaces and exercise caution during rainy periods.

From this elevated position on clear days, visitors can see three distinct island landmarks: Koh Samui to the south, Koh Tao to the north, and Angthong Marine Park to the west. This multi-directional view is rare on the island and makes the location special for spotting multiple places at once.
