Wang Sai Waterfall

Wang Sai Waterfall is a multi-tiered cascade on Ko Pha-ngan that flows through granite rock formations and collects in natural swimming pools. The surrounding jungle vegetation creates a sheltered environment where visitors can walk among the rocks and water levels.

This waterfall has been a water source for island residents since Ko Pha-ngan was first settled. The site maintained its practical importance for local communities over many generations.

Local residents maintain traditional practices of forest conservation around the waterfall, protecting native plant species and wildlife in their natural habitat.

The best way to reach the waterfall is by renting a motorcycle from the main town on Ko Pha-ngan, which takes about 30 minutes. The paths to the different levels are straightforward and accessible for most visitors of average fitness.

During the rainy season from June through October, the monsoon transforms the waterfall into powerful cascades with much stronger water flow. Visitors at this time experience a dramatic change from the calmer appearance during drier months.
