Khao Ra

The tallest peak on Ko Pha-ngan rises 627 meters above sea level, featuring dense tropical vegetation and granite rock formations along its slopes.

For centuries, fishermen from surrounding waters have used this natural elevation as a key navigation point to guide their boats around the island.

Local residents perform traditional ceremonies at specific locations on the mountain to honor the natural spirits believed to protect the island.

The hiking trail to reach the summit requires approximately three hours round trip, with water stations available at the base of the mountain.

The mountain contains multiple microclimates, supporting distinct plant species at different elevations, from coastal vegetation to mountain flora.
