Hat Khuat, Beach on Ko Pha-ngan island, Thailand
Hat Khuat features white sand stretching along a curved bay surrounded by thick tropical vegetation on the northern coast of Ko Pha-ngan.
The beach earned its name Hat Khuat, meaning Bottle Beach, during the 1980s due to the distinct bottle-like shape of its protective cove.
Local fishermen continue their traditional practices at Hat Khuat, maintaining their connections to the sea through generations of maritime knowledge.
Visitors can reach Hat Khuat either by taking a 20-minute boat ride from Chaloklum or following a challenging hiking trail through the jungle.
The beach reveals different landscapes throughout the day as tides transform the shoreline from a narrow strip to an extensive sandy expanse.
