Haymarket, Historic marketplace in Downtown Lincoln, United States
The Haymarket district extends across several blocks featuring red brick buildings, local shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues along cobblestone streets.
Originally established in the 1880s as a produce and goods trading center, the district transformed from warehouses and industrial buildings into a commercial area.
The neighborhood maintains a weekly farmers market where over 200 vendors gather to sell fresh produce, crafts, and local specialties every Saturday morning.
The marketplace operates daily from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM, with dedicated parking facilities available at 7th and P Street for visitors.
The district contains the largest concentration of late 19th-century commercial architecture in Lincoln, with many buildings featuring original iron storefronts.
