Pantai Dewaruci Jatimalang

The Dewaruci Jatimalang Beach features black sand shores along the Java Sea, with pine trees providing shade areas for visitors to rest.

The beach area was established as a tourist destination in 2006, managed by local authorities to develop recreational facilities and preserve coastal resources.

Local fishermen conduct annual sea offering ceremonies during the Suro month, maintaining traditional maritime customs of the Purworejo coastal community.

The beach operates daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with entrance fees of 5,000 rupiah per person and parking rates of 2,000 rupiah for motorcycles.

A 6-meter-tall statue of Dewaruci, created by Balinese artist Nyoman Alif in 2018, stands as the central monument of the beach.
