The artificial Lac Chanoine Kir extends over 37 hectares with a sand beach area of 3,000 square meters along its northern edge point.
The lake was constructed in the early 1960s to regulate the Ouche River flow and prevent flooding, with its official inauguration taking place in 1964.
During summer evenings in August, the beach hosts D'Jazz festival, presenting free jazz concerts every Friday for local residents and visitors.
The beach area includes volleyball courts, ping-pong tables, mini-golf facilities, tennis courts, and dedicated play areas for children with disabilities.
The lake perimeter features a 3.6-kilometer walking path surrounded by birch trees, poplars, and weeping willows where visitors can observe local wildlife.
