Praia de Salgueira

Praia de Salgueira is a sand beach along the Atlantic coast of Póvoa de Varzim with pale sand and minimal rock formations. The shoreline provides ample space for swimming, surfing, and other recreational activities.

The beach takes its name from the Salgueira district, which has long been connected to Póvoa de Varzim's coastal history. The area has always been integral to the town's relationship with the ocean.

Surfers and bodyboarders of different abilities gather here regularly, making the beach a meeting point for the local water sports community. The sport has grown from a small dedicated group into an activity that welcomes everyone.

The beach maintains lifeguard services and basic facilities including showers and beach bars during the summer season. Visitors planning to come outside these months should expect limited services.

The northern section flows into Praia Azul near Buddha Club, creating a continuous sandy stretch. The southern end connects to Carvalhido beach, making it easy to explore both shores in one visit.
