The Salgueira beach extends along the Atlantic Ocean with white sand and minimal rocks, offering an open space for various beach activities.
The beach inherited its name from the historical Salgueira district, which has long been part of Póvoa de Varzim's coastal heritage.
Local surfing traditions have evolved from an exclusive community to an open environment welcoming surfers and bodyboarders of all experience levels.
Between June 15 and September 15, the beach maintains lifeguard services and provides essential facilities including showers and beach bars.
The northern section transforms into Praia Azul near Buddha Club, while the southern end connects to Carvalhido beach square.
