Playa de la Carihuela

Playa de la Carihuela is a 2-kilometer Mediterranean shoreline featuring dark sand, shallow waters, and a continuous pedestrian promenade lined with palm trees. Along this walkway sit numerous restaurants, shops, and shaded areas that serve visitors throughout the year.

Before the 1950s, this was a fishing village with small houses and boats working the Mediterranean. The shift from a working harbor to a modern beach destination happened rapidly after that decade.
