Kikaua Point Beach

The beach features a white sandy shoreline surrounded by black lava rocks, creating a natural lagoon with turquoise waters near Kailua-Kona.

The volcanic formations at Kikaua Point emerged from ancient lava flows that created the separation between Kakapa Bay and Kukio Bay.

The beach supports the preservation of green sea turtles, which frequently visit the shallow waters and rest on the warm rocks.

Visitors need to check in at the Kukio Golf Resort security gate to obtain a pass, and the beach offers only 27 parking spaces.

The protected cove maintains a sandy bottom with minimal wave action, creating natural pools between the volcanic rocks for safe swimming.
