Anaehoomalu Beach

The long crescent-shaped beach features a mix of salt and pepper sand, protected by a reef that maintains calm waters throughout the bay.

Two ancient fishponds, Ku'uali'i and Kahapapa, situated behind the beach were used by Hawaiian royalty to cultivate and harvest mullet fish.

The beach name translates to restricted mullet in Hawaiian, reflecting the traditional practices of local fishermen who reserved their catch for royalty.

The beach provides extensive facilities including showers, restrooms, changing areas, and a large parking lot near the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort.

The northern section of the bay contains equipment rental facilities for various water activities, including paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and hydro bikes.
