James Fay established the ranch in 1858 after marrying Hawaiian native Kaʻipukaikapuokamehameha Kahahana, marking the beginning of this multigenerational property.
The ranch preserves Hawaiian ranching traditions through exhibits and tours, demonstrating the integration of European and Hawaiian agricultural practices.
The property contains multiple event spaces, with Anna's Hall accommodating 80 seated guests and the front lawn hosting up to 300 people.
Anna Leialoha Lindsey Perry-Fiske managed this ranch independently during the mid-20th century, becoming the largest donor to Hawaii's American Heart Association.
