Mickler's Landing

Mickler's Landing is a public beach in Saint Johns County with a wooden walkway that crosses through tall sand dunes and leads to a wide shoreline. The sand has a pink tone created by crushed coquina shells mixed into the beach surface.

This location was the first public beach access point in Ponte Vedra Beach and helped shape how coastal access developed in the area. Its early role established it as a significant spot in the history of public use along this coastline.

Local families spend time here searching the shoreline for shark teeth, an activity that has been shared among residents for many years and visitors often join in.

The area has restrooms, outdoor showers, and a parking lot available throughout most of the day. Visiting in warmer months offers the best water conditions, though the beach remains accessible year-round for walking and exploring.

The sand gets its pink color from broken coquina shells, a natural feature that makes this beach look different from most others in the area. Walking across the beach, visitors can see and feel these shell fragments mixed throughout.
