St. Augustine Aquarium contains an 80,000-gallon tank filled with hundreds of Florida reef fish, including angelfish and blue-lined grunts swimming together.
The aquarium, established in 2016 by Shawn and Kathy Hiester, relocated from its initial planned location in Lincolnville to a five-acre property on State Road 16.
The facility provides marine education programs for students from kindergarten through seventh grade, incorporating hands-on learning about ocean ecosystems.
General admission costs $14.99 for adults and $9.99 for children, with an additional $49.00 fee for the snorkeling experience in the main tank.
Visitors ages four and above can participate in snorkeling adventures within the outdoor tank, experiencing direct contact with native Florida marine species.
