Pirate Soul Museum

The Pirate Soul Museum is a maritime history museum in St. Augustine that focuses on seafaring and piracy. The exhibition space displays more than 800 authentic artifacts from different periods arranged in thematic sections.

The museum was founded in 2005 and was first located in Key West before moving to St. Augustine in 2010. This relocation brought the collection to a city with deep colonial maritime history.

The collection shows objects that reveal how seafarers and pirates actually lived, from tools to personal belongings. These items bring the people behind the legends into focus rather than just the romanticized stories.

The museum is located in the historic downtown area and is open to visitors daily. It is walkable and offers space to explore across multiple levels within one building.

Visitors can operate electronic versions of genuine 18th-century cannons, providing a hands-on experience with historical weapons. An audio guide created by a Disney Imagineer offers professional narration through the exhibition.
