Bansko, Alpine ski resort in Pirin Mountains, Bulgaria
The resort stretches from 990 to 2530 meters elevation, offering 75 kilometers of ski slopes across diverse terrain for different skill levels.
The settlement evolved from a medieval trading post into a winter sports destination, with infrastructure development accelerating during the late twentieth century.

The ski area operates daily from December through April, with gondola service running between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, providing access to 44 kilometers of beginner slopes.
The resort features an 8-person gondola system extending 6 kilometers up the mountain, connecting the town base to the main skiing area at 1600 meters.
