Krasnale Literatek is a dwarf statue in Wrocław's Old Town district, shown holding a book in its hands. It stands at the corner of a historic building and is part of the city's collection of these bronze figures.
History
The statue was installed in December 2020, following a tradition that began in 2005 with the first dwarf figure called Papa Dwarf. Since then, hundreds of these bronze figures have appeared throughout the city.
Culture
The figure depicts a reader and connects to Wrocław's recognition as a UNESCO City of Literature. It reflects the city's long tradition as a publishing hub in the region.
Practical
The statue sits at the corner of a building in the Old Town and can be easily spotted while exploring the historic center. Visitors should keep their eyes open when walking around, as many of these figures are small and easy to miss.
