University Church of the Blessed Name of Jesus in Wrocław, Baroque university church in Wrocław, Poland.
The church features a main nave with two rows of chapels and intricate ceiling paintings depicting religious and cultural themes from different continents.
Built by Jesuits in 1689 on the foundations of a Piast castle, the church became an integral part of the university complex in Wrocław.
The interior walls display illusionist paintings by Johann Michael Rottmayr and architectural designs by Christoph Tausch, including the central altar from 1722.
Located at Plac Uniwersytecki 1, the church offers audio guides in five languages and maintains regular opening hours except during religious services.
The northern sacristy contains preserved elements of the medieval Piast castle, connecting the religious structure to its historical foundations.
