Chocolaterie Michel Huvelin, Artisanal chocolate shop in Bessines, France.

The Michel Huvelin chocolate shop crafts an assortment of chocolate bars, bonbons, and seasonal confections using carefully selected cocoa beans from Venezuela, Papua New Guinea, and Tanzania.

The Michel Huvelin chocolate shop, established in 1963, began as a family enterprise dedicated to producing handmade chocolates following traditional French confectionery methods.

The chocolaterie incorporates regional ingredients like Poitou Angelica, a plant from the Poitevin Marshes, into their chocolate creations, reflecting the local gastronomic heritage.

Located in Zone Artisanale la Mude, the shop opens Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 to 19:00, and Wednesday from 14:00 to 19:00.

Eight professional chocolatiers work together to produce specialty chocolate squares that showcase the distinct flavor profiles of single-origin cocoa beans from different continents.
