Canyoning Park, Water sport complex in Argelès-sur-Mer, France.
Canyoning Park is a water adventure complex in Argelès-sur-Mer with 14 pools designed for different skill levels. It features jumps from 10 to 23 feet (3 to 7 meters), water slides, and rope descents past natural waterfalls.
The park opened in 2015, introducing artificial canyoning to the Mediterranean coast for the first time. It was created to make mountain sports accessible year-round in a coastal location where such activities are rarely found.
The facility brings traditional mountain canyoning within reach for people who would otherwise need extensive climbing skills and mountain access. This has made the sport approachable to families and casual adventurers in a coastal setting.
All equipment including wetsuits, helmets, and harnesses is provided on site, and certified instructors lead participants through activities suited to their ability level. It helps to know your swimming comfort level beforehand, as water depth and jump heights vary throughout the different sections.
The course concludes with a 100-meter zip line over water that merges aerial adventure with aquatic action in one thrilling moment. Few visitors expect this transition from water-based activities to flying through the air.
