Maisan Provincial Park

Maisan Provincial Park features twin peaks resembling horse ears, with the male peak and Ammaibong reaching a height of 685 meters.

The Beopjusa Temple, established during the Silla Dynasty in the 7th century, contains significant cultural artifacts within the park boundaries.

Between the two mountain peaks stands Tapsa Temple, where monk Lee Kap-yong constructed 130 stone pagodas without mortar over three decades.

The park provides multiple hiking trails connecting the temple and summit, with facilities including rest areas, educational centers, and regular bus connections.

The geological composition of Maisan differs from surrounding mountains, creating a distinct landscape with rocky cliffs and dense forest coverage.
