Access is primarily via the Transpraia tourist train stopping at number 19 from June to September, or by private vehicle from Lisbon crossing the 25 de Abril bridge toward Costa da Caparica.

It ranks among Europe's largest gay naturist beaches, attracting diverse international visitors who appreciate its undeveloped natural state and complete freedom from clothing restrictions and social constraints.
