Jericho Beach Park

This expansive coastal park features a sandy beach along English Bay with sailing facilities, sports fields, walking trails, and recreational amenities for diverse outdoor activities throughout the year.

The site formerly hosted Canada's first Royal Canadian Air Force station in British Columbia from 1924 to 1947, serving as a flying boat station for maritime patrols and civil aviation operations.

The park serves as home to the Jericho Sailing Centre Association and hosts major events like the Vancouver Folk Music Festival, creating community gathering spaces for cultural exchange and maritime traditions.

Open daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, the park provides lifeguard services during summer months, washrooms, parking facilities, food concessions, and equipment rentals for various water sports activities.

The eastern section of the beach attracts swimmers while the western area specifically caters to sailboat enthusiasts and windsurfers, creating distinct zones for different water-based recreational preferences.
