Aussichtsplatform SAIL City, Observation platform in Bremerhaven, Germany.
The Aussichtsplatform SAIL City stands at 86 meters height atop the Atlantic Hotel, providing panoramic views of Bremerhaven's harbor district, North Sea coastline, and surrounding maritime infrastructure through floor-to-ceiling glazed windows.
Built as part of the Atlantic Hotel SAIL City project, this viewing platform represents Bremerhaven's modern development phase, complementing the city's maritime heritage that dates back to its founding in 1827 as Bremen's deep-water port.
The platform serves as a contemporary landmark where visitors can observe the ongoing maritime activities that define Bremerhaven's identity, from container shipping operations to cruise ship terminals and fishing fleet movements.
Open daily from April to September between 09:00-20:30 and October to March from 10:00-16:30, the platform charges €4 for adults and €3 for children, with wheelchair accessibility and binoculars available for detailed viewing.
On clear days, visitors can see up to 30 kilometers across the landscape, witnessing the exact point where the Weser River meets the North Sea while standing on the highest publicly accessible viewing point in the city.
