Completed in 2020 as part of the Hudson Yards development project, the observatory transformed a former industrial rail yard site into a modern architectural landmark and tourist destination.
The observatory hosts special cultural events including Candlelight evenings with live music performances and seasonal art installations such as the gothic-inspired Garden of Shadows floral displays.
The observatory operates from 9AM to 11PM Monday through Thursday and Sunday, with general admission tickets starting at 34 dollars available online for timed entry slots.
Edge offers the City Climb experience where harnessed visitors can ascend the exterior building wall to reach the highest open-air climb in the world above the city skyline.
