The Royal Garden stretches across multiple levels with stone paths, decorated fountains, and geometrically arranged flower beds near Prague Castle's northern walls.
Emperor Ferdinand I established this garden in 1534 on former vineyard grounds, commissioning Italian architects Bonifác Wohlmut and Paolo della Stella for its design.
The garden contains the Renaissance Summer Palace, built for Queen Anne, along with the Orangery and Ball Game Hall, reflecting 16th-century royal leisure activities.
The garden remains open from April through October, with guided tours available in multiple languages explaining the historical features and botanical collections.
The Singing Fountain, created in 1568 by Tomáš Jaroš, produces musical sounds when water drops fall on its bronze bowl.
