Vrbatova bouda

Vrbatova bouda is a mountain hut in the Giant Mountains at roughly 1,390 meters elevation with a restaurant serving traditional Czech fare. It offers ski storage for visitors and sits at a natural starting point for several hiking trails.

Built in 1964, the hut was named in honor of skier Karel Vrbat, who died during a ski competition in 1913. His name connects the location to the region's sporting past.

A memorial nearby honors both Karel Vrbat and Bohumil Hanč, two figures from the region's sporting history. The location also serves as a starting point for walks toward the Elbe River source.
