Church of Saint Elisabeth in Opava, Roman Catholic church in Město district, Opava, Czech Republic

The Church of Saint Elisabeth is a Baroque single-nave church on Rybí trh, originally Roman Catholic and used by the Orthodox Church since 1970. Its facade is framed by pilaster strips, and it ends in a semicircular presbytery; a low cylindrical tower with an open lantern, added in 1890, stands beside it. In 1913 two Gothic tuff windows were set into the tower's ground-floor wall.

A Gothic chapel from the 13th century, built by the Teutonic Order and used as a cemetery chapel, originally stood on this site. In 1634 it was replaced by a Baroque church attached to the Order's commandery at house no. 13; both burned in 1689. The church was remodeled in Neoclassical style in 1842–1843 and transferred to the Orthodox Church in 1970.

Since 1970 the church has been used by the Orthodox Church, not the Catholic one. Its interior holds a painting of Saint Elisabeth of Thuringia by Felix Ivo Leicher, showing her distributing alms. The building stands on Rybí trh, the Fish Market, in Opava.

The two Gothic windows in the ground floor of the cylindrical tower were not part of the original building: they were set into the wall in 1913 and are made of tufa. They come from an older structure, since the present church is a Baroque building of 1634.
