Buck Mountain is a summit in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, with views across the region's forests and valleys from its peak. The elevation provides a natural vantage point for observing the surrounding landscape.

Buck Mountain was named in 1869 or 1870, most likely after Albert Ansbach, nicknamed "Buck", owner of a nearby colliery. A hotel run by Adam Michael opened at its base in the early 1800s. The Reading Railroad drove a tunnel through a spur of the mountain, and coal mining passed from the Buck Mountain Coal Company to Coxe Brothers & Co. and, in the early 1900s, to the Lehigh Valley Coal Company.

The name comes from Albert Ansbach, nicknamed "Buck", owner of a nearby colliery; it was given to the mountain in 1869 or 1870. A hotel run by Adam Michael stood at the base from the early 1800s. The mountain was added to the Geographic Names Information System on August 2, 1979, under identifier 1170524.

Buck Mountain lies in southeastern Beaver Township, Columbia County, near the Luzerne County line, with its official coordinates in the Nuremberg USGS quadrangle. Beaver Run separates it from McCauley Mountain, and Falls Run runs between the mountain and Middle Hill. The Columbia County Natural Areas Inventory notes that no biological surveys of the mountain have been carried out, so trail and habitat information is limited.
