The Catawissa Friends Meetinghouse features a one-story log structure measuring 30 feet by 27 feet, constructed with hand-hewn logs resting on a stone foundation.
Built in 1789, this meetinghouse earned its place on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and received a Pennsylvania state historical marker in 1948.
The interior space contains separate sections for men and women, furnished with narrow plank pews that reflect traditional Quaker worship arrangements.
Located at the intersection of South and 3rd Streets in Catawissa, Columbia County, the meetinghouse occupies approximately one acre of land.
The structure maintains its original hand-forged door latch and white pine board paneling, representing one of Pennsylvania's few remaining log meetinghouses.
