Catawissa Friends Meetinghouse

The Catawissa Friends Meetinghouse is a one-story log building in Catawissa, Pennsylvania, built with hand-hewn logs on a stone foundation. The simple structure contains narrow wooden pews inside and sits on roughly one acre of land near South and 3rd Streets.

This meetinghouse was built in 1789 during a period when Quaker communities were establishing worship spaces across Pennsylvania. The building gained recognition with a state historical marker in 1948 and listing on the National Register in 1978.
