Shulamit Gallery

The Shulamit Gallery is a contemporary art space on North La Brea Avenue featuring a distinctive bow-truss ceiling and abundant natural light designed for exhibitions. The roughly 4,000 square foot room hosts rotating shows and large-scale artist projects throughout the year.

The space originated as a mobile art initiative in 2006 before establishing a permanent location in Venice Beach. The project later relocated to its current Hollywood site, continuing its mission as an independent art venue.

The gallery takes its name from its founder and shapes the local art scene through rotating exhibitions that elevate diverse artistic voices. Visitors encounter a space where different contemporary artists share the spotlight and expand perspectives on current art practices.

The venue sits south of Melrose Avenue on North La Brea Avenue and is straightforward to reach by car or foot. Allow time to browse the current exhibitions at a relaxed pace without rushing.

The founder drew her passion for art from her Iranian family's background in antique furniture and her mother's creative work. This personal heritage influences the types of artists and works chosen for display.
