Wilshire Country Club

Wilshire Country Club is a private 18-hole golf course in Los Angeles featuring natural terrain variations, water hazards, and sand bunkers positioned throughout the layout. The course design integrates these elements into the existing landscape.

The club was established in 1919 by Los Angeles businessmen led by Marion R. Gray on leased land from the Rancho La Brea property owned by G. Allan Hancock. This founding shaped what exists today.

The Spanish Mediterranean clubhouse serves as a gathering place where members hold tournaments and social events throughout the year. The style and setting reflect what this community values in their shared space.

The aviator and businessman Howard Hughes joined the club in 1925 and lived in a house overlooking holes eight and nine on the course. His residence there became a notable part of the club's story during that era.
