Scottish Rite Masonic Temple

The Scottish Rite Masonic Temple is a four-story building of Italian travertine marble on Wilshire Boulevard featuring eight large statues and elaborate mosaics across its exterior. Inside, visitors find exhibition spaces, an auditorium, and specialized areas for art storage.

The building was completed in 1961 and initially served as a regional meeting center for Freemasons until closing in the mid-1990s. Declining membership led to the site being transformed for a new cultural purpose.
