Tallest Grandfather Clock, Roadside attraction in Kewaunee, Wisconsin, US.
The Tallest Grandfather Clock is a towering redwood structure in Kewaunee standing at approximately 36 feet tall with three separate clock faces. The timepiece is located on River Road in the downtown area and displays morning, afternoon, and evening times simultaneously.
The monument was built in 1976 by Svoboda Industries as part of the American Bicentennial celebrations. It was moved several times to different locations before finally being installed permanently at its current site.
The clock serves as a focal point where locals and visitors naturally gather and interact with one another. Over time it has become woven into the identity of the town and shapes how people think about the place.
The clock is easy to locate when driving north on Highway 42 from the intersection with Highway 29, where it stands clearly visible on the left side. The site is accessible at any time and offers a good spot for photography and a quick visit.
Despite its enormous scale, the clock operates with genuine clockwork mechanisms and chimes the hours regularly. This makes it one of very few structures of such magnitude that actually functions as a working timepiece.
