111 Murray Street is a 792-foot (241.4 m) residential skyscraper completed in 2018 at Murray and West Streets, on the border of the Financial District and Tribeca. It holds 156 condominiums above 2,100 square feet of ground-floor retail space, with a 10,600-square-foot plaza beside the tower. The facade curves in plan, and the photograph shows it under construction, wrapped in horizontal bands of orange safety netting between grey concrete floor slabs, with a red lattice hoist on the left.
The building was completed in 2018, marking the transformation of Tribeca from an industrial district to a modern residential neighborhood in lower Manhattan. It reflects the area's shift over recent decades toward high-end residential development.
The tower replaced the former St. John's University building at 101 Murray Street, bought by the developers for $200 million in May 2013. Its residents have included former Mets pitcher John Franco and, formerly, attorney Michael Cohen. The address also appears in Hebrew as רחוב מוריי 111 and in Chinese as 莫瑞街111号.
