Bugg Spring, Natural spring in Lake County, US

Bugg Spring is a natural spring in Lake County that forms a circular pool of clear water near Okahumpka. The site features considerable depth and now operates as part of a research facility.

Before the Civil War, the land around the spring held a Seminole village. After the war it was the home of Confederate States Army Colonel J. J. Dickison. The Branham family bought the 69-acre property in 1923 and began leasing part of it to the Navy in 1956; the Navy bought the whole property on December 30, 2011.
