The Brooklyn Tower, Supertall skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn, United States
The Brooklyn Tower is a residential skyscraper in the center of Brooklyn that rises 325 meters (1,066 feet) across 73 floors. The exterior combines glass and steel with accents of concrete, terracotta, and bronze, meeting the white marble facade of the historic bank at ground level.
The tower was built on the site of the Dime Savings Bank, whose 1908 building was integrated into the new structure. The bank served as a main branch for over a century before being restored and repurposed as a publicly accessible part of the complex during the construction.
The name honors the identity of the borough, which only became part of New York in the early twentieth century. Residents gather in communal spaces and terraces, while the ground-level bank rotunda serves as a meeting point open to the public.
Access is split between separate entrances for condominiums and rental units, connected through a central ground-floor area. Visitors can enter the former bank rotunda, while residential floors and shared amenities remain restricted to residents.
The building is the first in Brooklyn to surpass 300 meters (984 feet) and towers above every other structure in the borough. Outside Manhattan, New York City has no comparable residential tower at this height.
