Star Wars Launch Bay

Star Wars Launch Bay is an interactive attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios in the United States, displaying props, costumes, and replicas from the space film series. The rooms are divided into several galleries where visitors walk through recreated scenes and view life-size figures.

The attraction opened in December 2015 after Disney announced at the D23 Expo that it would expand the space franchise presence in the park. Since then it has served as a preview for upcoming expansions and new film releases.

The Launch Bay Theater screens footage about how the space saga came to life, showing how makeup artists and prop builders shape the worlds onscreen. Visitors see here how models were built and creatures designed before they appeared in the films.

The tour guides visitors through the galleries without a fixed order, so you can spend as much time as you like at individual exhibits. Those who want to meet figures from the films should plan for some waiting time, as encounters happen one by one.

In the Launch Bay Cargo shop, collectors can find items made specifically for this location, including one-off pieces and limited-edition replicas. Personal items such as wristbands or phone cases can also be engraved or printed here with motifs from the saga.
