Gardner Lake State Park, Recreational park in Salem, Connecticut.

Gardner Lake State Park spans 10 acres along Gardner Lake, offering a beach, boat launch facilities, and access to a 529-acre freshwater lake.

The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection acquired this former private resort in 2001 for $550,000 after previous purchase attempts failed.

The park connects three Connecticut towns - Salem, Montville, and Bozrah - forming a central gathering point for water activities and community recreation.

The park maintains chemical toilets, paved parking areas, and a boat launch, operating daily from sunrise to sunset throughout the year.

The lake contains an 1895 house that fell through winter ice during transportation, creating generations of local stories about underwater music.
