Lake Mary Ronan State Park, Natural state park in Lake County, Montana
Lake Mary Ronan State Park is a natural woodland covering 120 acres of Douglas fir and western larch forest at an elevation of 3,770 feet. The property centers on a lake and provides camping facilities along with boat access points for visitors.
The park was established in 1967 as a formal state recreation area to protect the landscape. Over time, camping sites and boat facilities were added to serve a growing number of visitors.
The park serves as a gathering place for local anglers pursuing kokanee salmon and other fish species found in the lake. This fishing tradition reflects how people in the region have long connected with the water and its natural resources.
The area has 25 camping sites, with some offering seasonal electricity during the warmer months. Water services are available between May and September, while the park remains open from May through November.
The park enforces strict food storage rules to protect visitors from wildlife encounters in the area. All food items must be packed in sturdy, sealed containers when staying within the park.
