Miracle of America Museum and Pioneer Village

The Miracle of America Museum and Pioneer Village is an open-air museum with over 40 buildings holding more than 250,000 objects on display. The collection spans aircraft, vehicles, workshops, and residential buildings that represent different phases of American development.

The museum grew from a desire to document the development of the American West and holds objects from the pioneer settlement era. It preserves original or reconstructed buildings such as blacksmith shops, schoolhouses, and general stores from Montana's early period.

The collection displays tools and objects from the pioneer era along with items that show how people lived in the American Northwest across many generations. Visitors can see how craftsmanship and daily life evolved in this region.

The grounds are spread out over a large area and you can walk around to explore the different buildings and collections. It is best to wear comfortable shoes and bring protection from sun or rain depending on the season.

The museum holds Live History Days in July when craftspeople demonstrate historical techniques and vintage aircraft and vehicles are on display. These special days give visitors a chance to see history in action and interact with people practicing traditional skills.
