Mystic Timbers

Mystic Timbers is a wooden roller coaster in Kings Island, Mason, Ohio, with a track measuring 3265 feet (995 meters) and 16 airtime hills. The trains reach a speed of 53 miles per hour (85 kilometers per hour) while running through forested sections of the park.

The Gravity Group designed this wooden roller coaster, which opened to visitors on April 15, 2017. The installation was built on a site previously occupied by an older attraction.

The coaster runs through a setting that recalls forest myths and local tales before disappearing into a dark shed. This final station at the end of the ride creates surprise and curiosity among guests.

The ride lasts about two minutes and runs through dense trees that cast shade over the track. Wait times can grow longer on busy days, so visiting in the early morning or late afternoon may prove helpful.

Riders pass through rapidly changing sections between dense vegetation and open spots where direction shifts unexpectedly. These sudden turns keep orientation difficult throughout the entire run.
