Al-Hussain Mosque

Al-Hussain Mosque stands near the waterfront and combines traditional Islamic architecture with modern design elements, including a prominent central dome. The structure sits on stilts above the water line and displays a mix of classical and contemporary design features.

The mosque was built in 2005 to serve the growing Muslim population in the coastal Kuala Perlis region. The project responded to demographic changes and the need for expanded prayer facilities in the area.

The mosque serves as a gathering hub where residents come daily for prayers and religious classes. During Islamic holidays, special events here bring families together from across the region.

During high tide, the stilted structure appears to float above the water, creating an optical illusion. This phenomenon is especially striking during monsoon season when water levels rise noticeably.
