7 wells waterfall, Natural cascade in Langkawi District, Malaysia
The waterfall consists of seven connected pools arranged in cascades down a slope of around 91 meters. Each pool has different depths and sizes, creating separate swimming zones at various levels.
The waters flow down from Mount Mat Cincang, the second highest peak on the island. The mountain's rock formations are ancient, shaped over millions of years.
Local beliefs associate the pools with spiritual beings said to inhabit the waters. You can feel this reverence in how the community treats and speaks of the place.
The upper sections require climbing around 638 steps, while the lower pools are reached by a shorter walk of about 200 steps. Your choice depends on your fitness level and which areas you want to explore.
During periods of heavy rainfall, natural water slides form between the pools as water rushes down through the rock levels. This creates a completely different experience depending on the season and water flow.
