7 wells waterfall, Natural cascade in Langkawi District, Malaysia
The waterfall forms seven connected natural pools along its 91-meter vertical drop, creating distinct swimming areas at different elevations on Mount Mat Cincang.
The cascade originates from Mount Mat Cincang, the second highest peak in Langkawi, which emerged from ancient geological formations dating back to the Cambrian period.
Malaysian folklore tells of fairies inhabiting the pools of the waterfall, with local residents attributing healing properties to its flowing waters.
Visitors need to climb 638 steps to reach the upper section of the falls, while the lower pools require a shorter ascent of 200 steps.
The natural formation creates water slides between the pools during high flow periods, allowing water to cascade through multiple levels of rock formations.
