Guillemard Bridge, Railway bridge in Kusial, Kelantan, Malaysia
Guillemard Bridge is a railway bridge spanning the Kelantan River in Kelantan, Malaysia. It features a single-track steel truss design and connects different regions across the country's rail network.
The bridge was constructed between 1920 and 1924 by a British manufacturer and ranks among Malaysia's oldest railway structures. It was damaged during the Second World War and subsequently rebuilt.
Sultan Muhammad IV of Kelantan presided over the bridge's inauguration in 1925, establishing it as a symbol of British-Malayan infrastructure development.
The bridge is accessible by public train service and functions as a regular rail connection. Visitors can view the structure from train windows or from nearby vantage points along the riverbank.
The structure was deliberately damaged by British forces in 1941 to slow Japanese military movements during wartime. After the conflict, it was restored and stands as a reminder of that turbulent period.
