Moscopole is a mountain village in Korçë District in southeastern Albania, sitting on a hillside at approximately 1,160 meters elevation. Narrow streets connect traditional stone buildings and the five churches scattered throughout the settlement.
History
The village experienced its peak period during the 18th century, when it became an important center for printing and distributing religious and educational works. The printing operation that developed there played a role in the spread of literature across the region.
Culture
Five Orthodox churches in the village contain religious frescoes that show the art tradition of Balkan church decoration. These wall paintings fill the interiors and tell religious stories through imagery.

The village sits about 21 kilometers from Korçë city and is best reached by personal vehicle or with local guidance. The mountainous terrain and limited public transportation mean planning ahead makes sense.
