Mount Çika, Mountain summit in southwestern Albania.
Mount Çika is a summit in the Ceraunian Mountains rising 2,045 meters above sea level. The peak features distinctive limestone formations and sharp rocky ridges that create dramatic profiles when viewed from the surrounding valleys.
The mountain's limestone formations developed millions of years ago through tectonic activity that shaped the Ceraunian range. Over time it became a landmark for travelers crossing the Albanian coast and connecting inland regions.
Local shepherds maintain traditional practices by bringing their livestock to graze on the mountain's wild vegetation during summer months.
Access to the mountain starts from Llogara Pass where clearly marked trails begin the ascent. The best time to hike is from May to September when weather conditions are most stable and wildflowers bloom along the paths.
From the summit you can see both the Ionian Sea and the island of Corfu in the distance, making it one of the few spots where two countries appear on the horizon. The northern slopes fall within Llogara National Park, which preserves the natural environment.
