Saint Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral

Saint Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral is a large domed structure in southeastern Ring Park, built from light-colored stone with a striking presence in the skyline. The complex includes the main church alongside smaller chapels and a surrounding courtyard that creates space for gathering.

The cathedral was built between 1996 and 2001 to mark the 1700th anniversary of Armenia adopting Christianity as its official faith in 301. This construction honored a turning point in the nation's spiritual past.
