Argavand Funerary Tower, Islamic mausoleum in Argavand, Armenia.
The decagonal tower features three distinct sections built from tuff stone, with a brick dome and decorative blue ceramic tiles along its upper portion.
Constructed in 1413, the funerary tower commemorates Pir Hussein, son of Sa'ad, a tribal leader during the post-Timur Lenk period in medieval Armenia.
The Arabic frieze inscription around the tower incorporates Quranic verses and messages about generosity, reflecting Islamic architectural traditions of the 15th century.
The mausoleum stands near a customs warehouse and can be accessed by turning left at the traffic circle on the airport road to Yerevan.
The structure represents one of the few remaining intact Islamic monuments in Armenia, showcasing the architectural influence of the Kara Koyunlu tribe.
